In 365 zen the lettering is also the only image. Being a zen book for a Western market, the art director asked me to produce a title that would incorporate both feelings: the strength and simplicity of Zen, with a hint of whimsical and lyrical flourishes.
In Unburdened Heart I was asked to produce a whimsical heart with flourishes and a sense of dance and happiness.
The lettering was designed to combine with the heart and so it keeps this sense of lightness.
